"A Gem by the Sea"

November 25, 2009 - Tampa, Florida - Sometimes we all need to get away from the stresses of life. After five days at the Seaside Inn Beach & Resort, I felt soothed, renewed and rejuvenated. The careful attention to detail was evident in many ways. From the smiling, warm welcome I received on my arrival, to the staff's helpful recommendations on where to eat, shop, sightsee and how to use Anna Maria Island's free trolley service, to the beautifully decorated (tropical-style) room with a well-appointed kitchen (they even had a corkscrew on hand!), to the lovely toiletries in the bathroom, I felt pampered and well taken care of. And the location cannot be beat. My own private deck, furnished with comfortable, padded chairs, loveseat and a table large enough to hold a good-sized meal for two, had steps leading down to the white sand beach and ocean. I fell asleep to the sound of waves gently lapping the shore each night, and that's the sound that greeted me each morning as well. A quiet, peaceful, gorgeous setting--combined with one of the most genuinely friendly and helpful hotel staffs I've encountered (and I travel a lot for work) and a beautiful room and personal deck with a spectacular ocean view--make the SeaSide Inn Beach Resort a true gem by the sea.

"SeaSide Resort - A beautiful piece of paradise right on the Gulf"

November 13, 2009 - Hayward, CA - My father and I have been coming to the Gulf Coast for ten years. Five years ago we discovered SeaSide Resort and we keep coming back. The Penhouse is a beautiful spacious apartment equipped with everrything you could possibly need. The views from the living room, dining room and the private deck (second floor) are spectacular any time of day or night. There are no high rises on Anna Maria Island plus you are so close to the Gulf you think you are staying in your privately owned villa. Staff is wonderful and we never tire of returning.

"Best vacation wonderful resort"

October 25, 2009 - Ellwood City Pennsylvania - I have just returned from Anna Maria Island and I can not wait to return,This was my best vacation ever. The sea side resort is a small jewel The suites are well equipped and have everything you could possibly need Each suite has a private deck with love seat table chair great for watching the sunset They also have lounge chairs with each suite great for soaking up the sun The staff is very accomadating and will provide you with whatever you need they were very helpful and friendly Loved the resort Wonderful restaurants on the island also ,Cannot wait to return.

"Great Vacation!"

October 24, 2009 - Higley,AZ - I have to say I was totally impressed with SeaSide Inn all aspects it really was a "Perfect" vacation. I stayed in a studio room and everything was perfect, the rooms were VERY clean, and location was amazing! When my family checked-in the office girl was so pleasent, I will agree it's NOT like a huge resort with 5 workers waiting to be at your beck-in-call and as was a tag nervous because she looked very young but she was very nice, she introduced herself checked us in in less than 5 minuets and helped explain some of the places on the island. I have 2 young daughters and she took time to show them the toy closet and all the sand toys. She was very professional and polite! Anna Maria Island is such a beautiful beach and I could not be more pleased with the resort! I recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller, more "exclusive" place to stay it does not have all the bells and whistles but it's a home away from home and was a very relaxing trip!

"Excellent Relaxation"

October 3, 2009 - Florida - I have stayed at this resort for over 2 years now everytime I travel to Bradenton for business. When I first stayed I noticed it for the diamond in the rough that it was at that time. Since then, it has been totally renovated. Gulf front studios are the perfect end to a day. After taking a long walk on the beach, relax on your own private patio overlooking the gulf and watching the sunset. This resort sits directly on the beach and cannot be beat by any other resort if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing at home feel. The upstairs rooms have been renovated also with a deck for relaxation and overlooking the gulf and you can see dolphins frolicking just about every day. I have stayed at several locations but I will always stay at this one. No other can exceed the service and the excellence of this resort.

"peaceful and relaxing with a great view"

October 1, 2009 - North Carolina - I have stayed at this hotel twice and have loved every minute and will return any chance I can. If you love the beach this is the hotel for you. Just steps to the ocean. Watching the ocean in the morning while eating breakfast outside on your patio. Then enjoying the sunset from your patio every evening. Who could ask for more. LIke i said if you love the beach this is a most stay place. Once you go you will want to come back again and again.

"Great Location and service. Most relaxing vacation I have ever experienced."

September 20, 2009 - Ohio -Love this resort! Service was great and location is remarkable. Everything you need is right on site for your use. Beach toys, chairs, floats, and umbrellas. Great views of the ocean. My husband and I rented a room instead of a suite. The room was very clean, but a tad small. The porch was a wonderful addition to the room and we spent most of our time there or on the wonderful padded lounge chairs outside of the room. We definitely will return. Closest room to the water I have ever had at a beach location.

"Serenity accompanied by water views and beautiful sunsets.”!"

August 17, 2009 - Coral Springs, FL. - We have spent a week at Seaside Inn the past three years and have reservations for a return visit in September 2009. During our last visit, renovations were in progress so we look forward to seeing the results. However, Seaside Inn has always been a peaceful, serene locale surrounded by beautiful views and friendly associates. Looking forward to our next visit and many more in the future.

"Most Relaxing vacation I've ever been on!"

July 24, 2009 - Massachusetts - The room was exactly as pictured on the website. Lovely tropical colors, tastefully decorated & a comfortable king bed. The location is the biggest asset of this small hotel, unobstructed view of the ocean, perfect sunsets. The outside deck was a good size so it was like having another room, great place for morning coffee and cocktails at night! We...Read entire review here

"Our Little Piece of Heaven, Anna Maria Island"

Sunday, June 28, 2009 - Jeff and I have always loved going to the beach, so I wanted him to have a little getaway while he was home. One of the ladies I work with told me about Anna Maria Island and this little place called Sea Side Inn...she said it was like paradise. And it was!!!! All the rooms faced the Gulf of Mexico, and the first floor patios all opened to the beach. How wonderful was it????? Here are some pics to show you! Jeff and I have already decided that we will be going back there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little piece of heaven! View entire blog and photo's here...

"Beautiful stay at a beautiful beach!"

May 28, 2009 - Miami, FL - Pristine beach old Florida style. This resort is situatued on a spot where children can play in the surf while mom works on her tan and dad fishes for Snook from the shore. We stayed in the penthouse suite and now I wouldn't sty any place else. The suite is situated on the second floor of the resort, with sliding glass doors that open onto a faulous deck, facing the Gulf. The resort also provides all the beach accesories you would want (chairs, umbrellas,toys,floats...)

"Great island, great accomodations"

Mar 16, 2009 - Atlanta, GA - The view from the room was astounding! The lodging is right on the beach with a perfect view of the sunset and the Gulf Coast. Excellent location for hunting shells too if that's something you enjoy. Nice central location - everything is a short drive or a reasonable walk.

Mar 10, 2009 - North Dakota - We really enjoyed our stay at SeaSide Inn.....management and staff was excellent....location was great....furnishings beautiful...very close to the white sand beach ...very nice deck off our room looking to the ocean...would highly recommend this Inn to anyone going to Anna Maria Island to make their vacation perfect...we enjoyed everything about this place.A++++++

"Perfect!"

Feb 10, 2009 - Missouri - A super nifty, updated 50's style Inn with 10 units. We stayed in a ground floor unit with a walk-out straight on a private beach. Totally remodeled and really clean with a fully stocked kitchenette, flat screen t.v., beach towels, all the amenities one could want or need. All staff and owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Walking distance to several restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay there again!

"We Love the SeaSide"

Jan 29, 2009 - Wisconsin - The SeaSide Inn and Resort, on Anna Maria Island of Florida, is beautiful. Well kept, and very accommodating. Service is the Best. And Best part of all is that you step out your patio door and you are literally on the sands of the Anna Maria Beaches. Breathtaking sunsets, walks on the beach, great resturants within walking distance, etc. Absolutely love staying at the SeaSide. It is our favorite place for a very relaxing vacation.

"The New & Improved Seaside"

New Jersey Dec 2, 2008 - My first post was in Sept 2006; I've stayed there several times since. The property changed hands twice since then and this is undoubtedly the best it's been. Renovations, inside and out, have been undertaken; interiors are now a lovely old Florida style with tile and soft colors throughout. Likewise, furnishings are new and comfortable. You'll find a welcoming basket with island info and packets of complimentary coffee. There's a new, fully equipped kitchenette area that includes a microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, full refrigerator/freezer and ceramic cook top unit. Sliding doors go out to your own private deck with patio furniture and umbrella table overlooking a private beach and the Gulf. On site management is under the direction of a long time Seaside employee; you'll always find a welcoming smile and lots of info on the best places to eat or sightsee. Even when Seaside was not brand new, it was very clean...and, of course, that still holds true. Repeat visitors are the norm here...and a dedicated bunch are we! Try it, I'm sure you'll like it just as much.

“Outstanding!!”

Lakeland, Florida Sep 3, 2008 - Seaside Inn and Resort September 1, 2008 From the time I called the Inn to the time my wife and I checked out to leave, we were treated like family.

The room was bright, clean, and equipped.

Not sure you can get any closer to the water than this Inn. You park in the front, enter the room, and behold, you see the water at the back sliding glass doors. Walk out the back and you are on the beach.

We even got to enjoy one of the special holiday occasional "cook outs" hosted by the Inn. What a surprise and a real treat.

We will definitely return for another stay.

“Casual Beachfront Find!”

Florida Aug 28, 2008 - If you are looking for a simple, laid back, bathing suit & flip-flop location, you just hit the mark. This is the best location on the beach, just steps to the water. They have great cushioned beach loungers, on the sand, just outside your room. We had a rather small room with a queen size bed. Being that we were there for a long weekend it was fine, but if you are staying for longer you might want to consider a larger room. In the room was a coffee maker, microwave, toaster, glasses, cups & plates. We sat on the patio each evening and watched the best sunset I have ever seen in all my travels. There are plenty of great places to eat very close by. We really enjoyed The Sun House and Gulf Cafe, just a few short minutes away by car.

We had a couple of little hiccups that were quickly attended to by the great office staff. Thank you Robin & Melissa for being so helpful and accommodating.

The inn does need updating and I understand they are in the process of doing them.

So kick off your shoes and come take a walk on this beautiful beach!

“Beach Paradise”

Atlanta Aug 21, 2008 - On a rainy evening around 9 p.m. my husband and I stumbled on the Seaside Inn and although we could see almost nothing we were tired and it seemed okay. Little did we know we'd discovered "heaven at the beach". This place was soooooooo comfortable and pleasant. Marvelous bed and plush sofa with loads of pillows and we were overlooking a private deck area with wicker sofa and chairs and also a table and chairs and were 2 small steps from the beach with a wonderful wooden double lounge complete with cushions. Our room was probably 100 feet from waters edge. Have been to more luxurious places but none as comfortable and welcoming as this one. Had a small kitchenette with nice sized refrig. and that was all anyone should need. We look forward to going back and are recommending to everyone we know wanting a great relaxed beach experience with wonderful hosts and convenient to many great restaurants. We recommend to all.

“A Hidden Paradise”

Tampa, FL, Jun 11, 2008 - This has become one of our favorite getaway spots. We stay here 3 to 4 times a year and love each time more and more. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a patio on the bottom level as well as kitchenettes. I would highly recommend staying on the bottom level.

THE VIEW is to Die for...There is nothing better than opening your patio door and stepping out onto the beach. We have gotten to know the staff and they are always accommodating.

This property has no pool or luxury amenities but has a cottage oceanfront feel that leaves you content with what is provided.

This is a perfect hidden paradise.

“Peaceful Seaside Inn and Resort”

Franklin, TN, Apr 20, 2008 - We have been vacationing on Anna Maria Island for eight years and have always stayed at the Seaside Inn and Resort. Although the resort is not fancy, it is perfect for two people who just want to relax on the porch or the beach. It is a small resort of only 10 units so there is very little traffic around the complex. The king size beds in the studio apartments are comfortable and the kitchenette is adequate to prepare small, simple meals. Upon beginning your stay, the rooms are clean, but during your stay, you are responsible for cleaning of the room unless you want to pay extra. Linen service is provided although it would be nice to have more hooks or towel racks in the bathroom to dry towels after a day at the beach. The managers at the resort are friendly and accommodating, but for the size of the resort, you would think they could come by your room occasionally to see if you need anything rather than always needing to go to them. The main attraction is the peaceful setting, sunsets viewed from your porch over the gulf, and the beach; 50 yards from your porch.

“Seaside Resort a slice of Heaven!”

Florida Nov 8, 2007 - My wife was searching for a place to stay for a long weekend in the summer. She found the Seaside Resort online. We ended up booking a studio room with a patio. When we arrived we were greeted nicely by the man in the office. He went over what the property offered us while we were staying there and then we were given a key to our room. When my wife and I opened the door it was such a beautiful view! We knew that this was the place we had been looking for! It was simple and beachy and not so much like a Hotel/Motel decor. The room was very clean and worked out nicely for us. The bed seemed to be recently new because it was a thick mattress and was comfortable to sleep on. The room we had had a kitchenette and also a TV with a DVD player! I loved this because we always travel with new DVD's. I even got some work done since they offered free WiFi internet. The one thing we liked was that they didn't come knocking on our door for housekeeping daily. If you stay a week they said they come in and do a "mid week clean". The daily fresh towels worked just fine for us. After only 4 nights there we are planning our next trip. Hopefully in April! See you soon Seaside!

“Beach location is everything !!”

Tunkhannock PA, Mar 27, 2007 - We have just returned from a week at Seaside Inn & Resort and found it most enjoyable. It is not the Ritz; but, we had a Gulf front suite which was clean and comfortable and had a private patio. We felt the price we paid was worth it for the directly on the beach location in itself. The management was most friendly and helpful. They even delivered mail to our door. As for the changing of the towels, they are exchanged daily by means of a wicker basket that is put out front. The room is strictly yours and private unless you ask for assistance which is offered. The beach is also private. The Dolphins and sunsets were super to watch and all in all a relaxing week of sun.
