September 20, 2021 – Seaside has stopped charging $15 to park on Smolian Circle, but the square remains closed to cars. The paid parking started back in April and lasted throughout the season.
Kevin Boyle, director of merchant and guest services for the Seaside Community Development Corporation, said the money received during the duration of the program was not for profit, and went straight to the costs of running the lot.
The free shuttle from Grayton Beach will continue to run through November, so it is another good option for parking and enjoying Seaside.
The paid parking program is halted until the spring of 2022, according to Kevin Boyle.
